Toilet paper like other consumer items in the supermarket are household necessities we just can’t do away.  We need the roll in almost everything that we do inside the house but most especially inside our comfort zone.  Some individuals are highly allergic to a few things and toilet paper is no exception.  Men and women both have certain degree of pruritus or ‘itch’ in the local term.  Much more with the itch and irritations on babies and kid’s skin.  So, how do you choose toilet paper for sensitive skin suited for household use which cannot irritate especially people with allergies and sensitive skin?  There are forums over the internet that deals specifically with allergies and other skin conditions but hardly there are discussions on experiences or who have experienced having allergies on toilet paper or toilet paper for sensitive skin were discussed.  Below are just a few insights on choosing the ideal toilet paper especially for sensitive skin:

Read the label.

In every product being bought especially for home consumption, reading product labels is a must.  The label should tell you the ingredients and additives as well as how each products are made from.  Reading the product label can also tell you if its

Hypoallergenic or if it is suitable for sensitive skin like those for babies.

Beware of marketing ploys and advertisement.

The most abused term of ‘made from 100% eco-friendly materials’ is a marketing ploy to motivate buyers to buy more? But what really is an eco-friendly material?  It simply mean the products are made from ingredients that are not harmful to environment.  But not necessarily not harmful or fit for human use.  So buyers still has to dig on the content of the product itself by going into the ingredients and process how the toilet paper was manufactured.

Colors and packaging are not related to suitability of a tissue roll.

Packaging and colors does not add up to the usability of the tissue paper.  In some instances, the dyes can be another allergen you need to avoid with.  Other misconceptions also are those perfumed or nicely printed sheets.  The ink, dyes and compounds used may not be suitable especially for babies and other sensitive type skins.

If you are able to do some research, find out which additives and compounds are most people allergic to?  It will be your initial gauge if the brand is new or is not the common brand you used to buy.  Chemicals like nickel sulphate and nickel salts are generally carcinogenic and can irritate the skin.  Some tissue holder are made and or brushed with nickel.  This will add up to your irritation if you touch or have your skin in contact with this compound.

Stick to a certain reliable brand.

Over a period of time, we all have been used in using some common brands. Through time, we’ve used them habitually and proved our stance or tolerance over using them.  Thus before switching to another brand or type, try to do a research first for its suitability to your use, if not maintain the usual your skin have become accustomed to.

In choosing and buying the ideal toilet paper for sensitive skin, one must be aware of what and how the products are made of.  It is also important to keep in mind what things or compounds you are allergic with to guide you in choosing the right product.  It is necessary that we read at every label of the products we are buying besides we will be the one using it.  Knowing the components, ingredients and additives as well as how the products are made are essential part of knowing if the product suits us or not.  Those were the prime purposes why manufacturers are required to print all the ingredients as well as the process how their products are made to let the buyers know.  It is therefore the duty of every consumer and buyer to select the product fits them.

How the Filipino Conquer The World Through Laughter

We often can read or hear, 'Laughter is the best medicine.'  But can laughter really cure?  Aside from its relief to put away sadness, can laughter and being happy cures diseases and illnesses? But does science really have significant facts to prove this?  Well it certainly does! Believe it or not a good hearted laughter can relax the muscles and may last for 45 minutes. Laughter can trigger the release of the body's so-called feel good natural body hormone called endorphins which are the body's immunity cells that fights pain, physical tension, stress and serves as the body's infection-fighting anti bodies improving and strengthening the body against resistance to diseases and illnesses.  It does not only support the body's physical health but likewise promote mental and psychological balance.
Laughter can be achieved in so many forms and instances and its a natural and inherent mood and feeling of every human being has.  Doctors need not prescribe nor can you buy laughter and happiness over the counter.  It is FREE and you can have it without diagnosis nor will there be doses to have it.  

But this free medicine sometimes can be so rare and elusive to have.  And people sometimes pay or offer to pay just to be happy. Thus some people even tagged 'Happiness is priceless.'  But really now, why can some people have the hardest time to laugh or just be happy to be.  Happiness is being tagged along with satisfaction and contentment.  They say people by nature are insatiable.  People always look for something lacking and incomplete.  People always have the way to ridicule and be ridiculous and entertain the feeling and idea of being incomplete, unsatisfactory and imperfections.  

And because of these feelings of unsatisfactory and being insatiable, people refuse to be happy and reject the body's natural healing elements, allow and refuse the body to heal from pain, stress, tension, anxiety and worst of all depression creeps in engulfing and looming the body with  discomfort and illnesses.

In the subject video above.  a Filipino doctor, Dr. Nathaniel Cruz, who acted his own self video showed how social media can influenced people through satire and laughter.  Although the satirical medium dwell on the issue of being poor and the social class on the effect of technology on social classes and media.  The fact and essence of bringing laughter and not ridicule in facing the realities of life highlights a social class typical of being a Filipino being a happy people  and being content even with just being happy in a selfie mood despite his being poor and hunger.  The video may convey the social dogma on  Philippines and Filipinos being a super 'Selfie' addict.  It also conveys that Philippines being the texting capital of the world have integrated technology even to the poorest of the poor and that happiness and contentment can easily be achieved by a mere 'text' or selfie act, an inexpensive way to attain happiness and satisfaction.  Odd it may seem to many but the happiness it brought to the subject person in the video is immeasurable that even money cannot buy. This probably will explain why Philippines and the Filipino people can weather any calamities, and even being poor in the most positive way through being happy and the Filipino being a happy people.  The video won on America Meet World contest, a US-based comedy video contest that featured 138 video from 21 different countries around the world.

GRAVITY BAGS MOST OF 2014 OSCAR'S

The  Oscar commended most on the production effort of the people behind this year's top film trophy bagger, Gravity.  Gravity emerged as this year's top Oscar trophy winner as it slip into seven academy trophies.  Although it did not won the coveted Best Picture award, among its prized accord was  Alfonso Cuaron's Best Director trophy, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing and  Best Sound Editing. 

Gravity's sci-fi space adventure story include a power house cast led by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. The story which centered on the lives of space missionaries and their adventure about their space mission, the risks as well as the hope  of the human race in finding out ways to conquer safe space travels and missions amazed the viewers and the judges.  Gravity grossed $700 million when it made cinema showing in the year 2013 and made it as the eight highest grossing film of 2013.

Added to the Oscar's pride was Gravity's six BAFTA awards which include Outstanding British Film and Best Director.  The film also won Best Director and seven Critics Choice Awards.

The Philippines fly high as its representative, Michael Christian Martinez make it big in the Sochi Winter Olympics. But there's more!Martinez's feat already made history in the world with Martinez having been the first figure skater in Southeast Asia to make it to the Winter Olympics history. And Filipinos worldwide owe it to this 17 year old skating sport talent.

The crowd wooed in delight as he make triple spin axle landings several time in his performance and his iconic arched body finale just simply made the people in the gallery wonder. His magical performance was worth today's event, being Valentine's Day where he swayed on the Romeo and Juliet theme melody, A Time For Us. He became an instant favorite and everyone clamors for an interview for the young Olympian.

With him in the 19th slot in the overall medal standing, Michael had already etched the Philippine flag in history. Michael dreams of becoming a doctor someday. He has the dedication and an excellent talent and this young teen was just starting out in his journey as an Olympian and all are hopeful he will continue on.  He vowed to make it to the 2018 Winter Olympics. Filipinos worldwide have been cheering and you made us all proud.

Wedding Bells Definite! For Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin

Buried in His Harley: A Biker’s Wish Come True

Last Friday, Jan. 31 Billy Standley's idea to be buried riding in his 1967 Harley Davidson was a dream come true.  Standley began conception of his burial plans some 18 years ago.  He made arrangement with Vernon Funeral Home about his wish that his funeral be made outside. His sons made sure he got what he wished for by finishing the Plexiglas see-through casket reinforced with steel and wooden rods five years ago and was waiting in their garage to serve its purpose.  He even purchased 3 additional extra cemetery plots next to his wife Lorna to accommodate his custom built casket. Billy succumbed to lung cancer last Sunday, Jan. 26 at age 82.  A true blooded bike adventurer and an avid Harley fan, during his lifetime, Standley traveled with his Harley in almost all the state of America, except Hawaii. To his family, no matter how weird and quirky their father’s wish, they all need to do what their beloved father had wished for.  It took five embalmer’s creative ideas to secure him in his striding pose atop his beloved 1967 Electra Glide Harley cruiser wearing his well-worn leather jacket, white helmet and his eyeglasses. The elaborate funeral was witnessed by hundreds as the casket drove away from the funeral parlor to the
Mechanicsburg cemetery in Ohio.  A crane was needed to raise the custom built casket from a towing vehicle and lowered down to the cemetery ground for his eternal resting place.

'Toxic Barrels Found in School's Playing Field in Okinawa's US Airbase

Fears mounted and alarming concerns of parents from Bob Hope Primary School located in Kadena, Okinawa, Japan rises as military personnel of the nearby US Military facilities of Kadena Airbase unearthed barrels and barrels containing toxic substances believed to be dioxins.  The report surfaced after a retired US major air force initiated and come forward to bring the matters up that the school grounds is near a former waste burning site for military defoliants.  Some parents even claimed that the illnesses suffered by their children must have beenthe caused by exposure to the said toxic elements. Hazardous workers continue to dug up barrels and barrels in  soccer pitch which is part of the area. The base commanders, Brig. Gen. James Hecker and Brig. Gen. Matt H. Molloy apparently ought to have admitted to parents of children of Bob Hope and Amelia Earheart Intermediate School of the contamination next to the school's playing fields. Sadly, the fields still continue to reveal and exposed toxicity threatening inhabitants of the facility of the dangerous toxins. It was June last year that 22 barrels was also unearthed containing dioxins and herbicides. Tests revealed that the ground has 8.4 times dioxin levels and water up at 280 times the allowed level. Report also revealed that last December, Okinawa City officials told that that surface soil around the area has elevated levels of arsenic.Last Friday, Jan. 31 Japan's Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera reported on a local television that the matters will be looked into by the Japan government as they continue to investigate the source manufacturer of the chemicals.

Kadena Air Base is home to USAF's 18th wing in the Okinawa prefecture in Japan. It is home to the largest combat wing of the US Air Force along with their families, Japanese personnel and contractors.
